The Smithy
This hostel is just a stone’s throw from the Göta Canal. We have preserved the homely country style with flowery wallpaper, lace curtains and pelargoniums in the windows, rather like visiting an elderly aunt. The house was built in 1909 for the master blacksmith in Hajstorp, and now you can stay here in our hostel.

Three small cottages

In these simpler cottages there are two sets of bunk beds in each cabin. The four-bed cottages are equipped with kitchen table and chairs, duvets, pillows, coffeemaker, a cooking plate, fridge, pots, crockery, cutlery, and garden furniture on which to serve your meal outdoors.

If you have pets, 100 kr will be added.

Stands & tent pitches

Here you can park up your caravan or campervan close to the Göta Canal at one of our 16 stands with electric hook-ups.

The stands are not bookable, you take the place that is vacant and pay on arrival at the Lock Café. You will then get a service card so that you have access to our service building with toilet, shower, kitchen and laundry facilities. Greywater and latrine emptying, and refilling of water is included in the price.
